Indianapolis Colts RB Jonathan Taylor is dealing with an unspecified thumb problem that could sideline him for at least 2 weeks during his organization’s push to make the playoffs, as he will undergo surgery to fix the problem.
The franchise is still evaluating the problem, as 1 source shared that no determination has been made yet as to whether the running back could be put on the IR list.
Jonathan rushed for 91 yards and 2 TDs in the past weekend in his team’s win against Tampa Bay and was on the field from the beginning of the match until the end. Taylor closed out the victory with an 8-yard run with less than 2 minutes remaining that gave Indianapolis a 1st down and allowed the Colts to run out the clock. The running back played 42 snaps in the match and carried the ball 15 times.
Update: Jonathan Taylor will undergo thumb surgery Wednesday in Los Angeles with the hope that he can return in two to three weeks, Colts owner Jim Irsay tells The Athletic.@RomeovilleKid on what this means for Indianapolis ⤵️
