“After discussions with our doctors, Richardson, and those close to him, it has been decided that he will undergo surgery to repair his injured shoulder, which means he will not see him on the field this campaign,” Irsay published on social media.
“He is a competitor, and we know how difficult and sad this is for him and our franchise. We consulted with different medical teams and felt this was the best course of action for his long-term feature in the league. We expect a full recovery, and there is no doubt Richardson has a promising future. Meanwhile, I love the fight of this franchise, and I’m excited for the chances that lie ahead of us. It begins this week with Browns.”
Irsay shared a few days ago that Anthony would probably miss the rest of the campaign.
