Miami has three games less than Toronto, who is 13th with the same points

Lionel Messi played only his second game for Inter Miami without scoring a goal as the Florida team drew 0:0 at home against Nashville and thus failed to get out of the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference standings. Miami are in 14th place with 22 points, the same as Toronto after a 3-1 win over the Philadelphia Union.

However, Messi and company have played three games less and have a chance to pull themselves out of this position.

It was Nashville that faced Inter Miami in the League Cup final and won on penalties. Messi then scored the goal for his team in regular time and then made no mistake from the penalty spot, leading his team to the first trophy in the club’s history.
