Breen lost his life in testing crash in Croatia on Thursday
Ireland’s Moonraker Rally, scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed following the death of Craig Breen in a testing crash in Croatia yesterday.
Breen, 33, is Ireland’s most successful rally driver with nine World Rally Championship podiums and two WRC Academy and SWRC world titles.
The dirt track organizer and the Irish Dirt Championship team offered their condolences to Breen’s family and friends when announcing the decision, which was made late last night. Breen has only made one appearance in the Moonraker Rally in 2011 when with one of the weakest cars, the Ford Fiesta R2,, got to 5th place in the general classification and won the first position in its class by a solid lead.
