The Toffees have triggered a clause in his deal that will see Jack landing in the Premier League club on loan as, in the meantime, they will try to negotiate a permanent move with Leeds United, but that collapsed after Villa made a direct contact with Harrison.
Harrison has successfully completed the medical tests today as Aston Villa also wanted to sign the Leeds player, and in the last possible moment they hijacked the deal.
He was always a priority for the Toffees during the current transfer window, along with Arnaut Danjuma, who joined the Premier League club on loan from Villarreal last month.
He would have been Everton’s 4th new signing this summer as Ashley Young joined as a free agent, and Youssef Chermiti was bought from Sporting Lisbon for 19 million dollars, but everything collapsed in the last possible minute.
Harrison is keen to leave the club from Elland Road after their relegation from Premier League in the past campaign and it seems that he will play in Premier League but for Aston Villa, not Everton.
