As Nikola Jokic was missing for Denver, Reggie Jackson and DeAndre Jordan took the lead scoring 35 and 21 points respectively to grant Nuggets 113-14 win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday.
Former Clippers Jackson and Jordan combined for 20 points in the fourth quarter where Denver were flying, having trailed by 11 at the start. Jackson hit the first and the final note of amazing 22-6 run that brought Nuggets back into the game and ahead by 99-94.
The Nuggets were missing starters Jokic, Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon, which meant they will also have to find an average 58.2 points – which is the combined number of the three of them this season. Jokic is still dealing with low back pain and had to watch from the side, while Murray has a right hamstring strain and Gordon has a right heel strain.
Kawhi Leonard was the best for the Clippers with 31 points and Ivica Zubac had 23 points and 14 rebounds.
