Jamal Murray of the Denver Nuggets has been fined $100,000 by the NBA for his actions during a recent playoff game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The incident occurred when Murray threw a towel and a heating pad in the direction of an official while the game was in progress. Despite the altercation, Murray was not suspended for his actions.
The fine was announced by Joe Dumars, the NBA’s executive vice president and head of basketball operations. Although the reigning champions Denver lost the game, Murray’s actions were deemed unacceptable, resulting in the substantial fine.

With the Minnesota Timberwolves currently leading the best-of-seven Western Conference semi-finals series 2-0, the focus now shifts to Game Three, which will be hosted by Minnesota on Friday. Murray’s actions serve as a reminder of the importance of sportsmanship and respect for officials in professional basketball.
