The news is another setback for the Cardinals, who are suffering from a severe injury crisis, having sidelined QB Kyler Murray and and two-time All-Pro safety Budda Baker.
Conner currently ranks eighth in the NFL with 364 yards rushing and is averaging 5.4 yards per carry.
The 28-year-old is set to miss the next 4 games, as stated by the NFL rules.
Arizona are likely to rely on rookie Emari Demercado in Conner’s absence as he already ran for 11-yard touchdown in the second half of the Bengals match-up.
The other option is Tony Jones Jr., who was acquired from the Saints. The 25-year-old ran for 70 yards and 2 touchdowns in the first 4 games for the Saints.
