The New York Jets have signed wide receiver Randall Cobb, the club announce on Wednesday.
The 32-year old veteran is another addition for New York’s wide receiver position as he will be looking to add both depth and experience.
The deal means Cobb is reunited once more with his former teammate quarter-back Aaron Rodgers, with whom he shared the same dressing room at Green Bay Packers. The two are known to share a close relationship and will be looking to carry that bond in their new team.
Cobb played for the Packers for eight seasons after becoming a secon-round pick back in 2011. He signed with Dallas as a free agent in 2019. After that the 32-year old played the next season in Houston before being brought back by the Packers — at Rodgers’ request — in 2021.
Cobb, who has played primarily as a slot receiver, had 34 catches for 417 yards and a touchdown last season. Overall in his career he has 625 receptions for 7,585 yards and 53 touchdowns.
