Jimmy Butler promised last year that he would get Miami Heat to the NBA Finals after Boston Celtics eliminated them after 7 matches in the 2022 East Conference finals, and he accomplished what he said.
Heat joined the 1999 NY Knicks as the 8th seed to reach the championship matches after the Game 7 win against Celtics at TD Garden.
“The confidence level he can create for everybody on the roster is incredible… He has a hard edge and he’s gnarly, but he knows how to have soft touch just to give someone some confidence at the right time.”

“Figure out to perform at the same level each game,” Jimmy shared after that Game 7 loss in 2022 — one that finished with him missing from the 3-point line that would have potentially won Heat the match. “Next campaign, we will have experience, and in this type of situation, we will triumph.”
“I just know why manager Pat Riley and head coach Erik Spoelstra wanted me to be a Miami player,” Jimmy said after the victory when asked about his words last season. “And that’s to be able to fight for the championship each year.
