The Brazilian scored twice against his former team.

Chelsea defeated Fluminense 2-0 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ, and will play in the final of the competition in the USA, as the big hero for the Blues was Joao Pedro, who scored a brace in his debut vs. his ex-team, as his career began in Fluminense.

Joao Pedro scored his 1st goal in the match with a phenomenal shot in the 18th minute as he didn’t let any chance for the goalkeeper to save him.

The most controversial moment in the game came when the Brazilian side received a penalty in the 1st half, but after VAR, the referee reversed his decision as he said that the player’s hand was not in an unusual position.

Joao Pedro eliminated the intrigue in the clash with his 2nd goal in the 56th minute. The Brazilian scored another phenomenal goal as his shot bounced in off the inside of the right post and again didn’t celebrate as a respect to his ex-team.

Chelsea will face either PSG or Real Madrid in the final of the Club World Cup, as the 2 European giants played against each other in the 2nd semifinal.
