Philadelphia 76ers superstar and current MVP winner Joel Embiid took part in solo training, and the medical team is waiting to see how his knee will respond to decide whether to clear him for the next match from the series.
In the last hours, there is a lot of optimism from the 76ers that Embiid that won the Most Valuable Player, will be able to return for the match tonight.
Even without Embiid, Philly won the 1st game against Boston Celtics 119-115 at the TD Garden as James Harden was phenomenal and scored 45 points.
Boston’s head coach Joe Mazzulla that he’s team is not panicked and will get together to try and win Game 2 at home to tie the series against Philly in the East ½ final matchup.
“I don’t think it was a disappointment; we just were defeated,” the head coach of Celtics claimed. “Hindsight is twenty-twenty; you always have the answer after.”
