The contract secures Joel through 2024 with an option for one more season.
“We are delighted to reward Joel with this new contract,” club vice-president Olivier Renard posted. He added that since Waterman’s arrival, the club had been pleased with him as they see him progress each season. With this new contract, the vice-president of CF Montreal hopes to see even further progress from the player and the team.
Joel (27) is playing his 4th season with the team as he was signed from Cavalry FC, which play in the Canadian league.
Waterman also said in a statement that he is very satisfied with this new deal and expects a lot of future success for him and CF Montreal.
Joel has played 73 games so far for the team in all competitions and scored 3 goals.
