Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic led his team to a 2-0 in over Phoenix Suns in their Western Conference Semifinals scoring 39 points and adding 16 rebounds on Monday night. It is less than a day before the scheduled NBA MVP announcement.
On Tuesday it will be known whether he will win his third MVP award in a row. The other two favorites for the award are Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo. “I don’t really think about it,” Jokic said after the win against the Suns. “Like zero interest.”
Nikola Jokic is the 5th player in NBA history to record 20+ PTS, 15+ REB, and 5+ AST in three consecutive Playoff games.

“Hopefully, it’s gonna be sunny so I can be in the swimming pool,” Jokic added with a smile.
With the third MVP in a row, he would be the first player to do so since Larry Bird and only fourth in the history of the NBA.
