The Denver Nuggets emerged victorious in their clash against the San Antonio Spurs 132-120 on Sunday night.
The star of the show was once again Nikola Jokic, as the big Serb notched a season-high 39 points, coupled with 11 rebounds and 9 assists to sink down San Antonio.

Victor Wembanyama rewrote the history books by becoming the first rookie with 22 points, 11 rebounds, 6 steals and 4 blocks, but even his heroics weren’t enough to spare San Antonio their 3rd longest losing spell in franchise history.
“I like bringing something new to the game,” he said. “I’m glad I can already put my name in history a little bit. It’s a good feeling.”
Michael Porter Jr. scored 25 points, while Reggie Jackson finished off with 20 for Denver, which improved to 8-0 at home.

Denver established a solid lead of 68-48 at the end of the second quarter, but Spurs rallied to reduce that deficit to 12 at half-time.
San Antonio looked like making a comeback as they opened the third period 7-2, but were outscored 33-17 for the rest of the period, which pretty much sealed their fate.
