Media members at a New England-Green Bay joint training this week saw that Patriots manager Bill Belichick chewed out QB Mac Jones at one moment. Mac shared that it was nothing serious but admitted that it was his fault and that he deserved it.
The quarterback claimed that the head coach wasn’t satisfied with New England’s offense not receiving the ball into the end zone during 2-minute practice and insisted Jones repeat it.
“So, we scored on the 2-minute drive with a field goal, and then we just wanted to try something different,” the QB shared. “We just kind of redid the moment. That was enjoyable, I guess, but I made a mistake. I think it was just a miscommunication between the whole team.“
Bill is regularly unhappy with Jones and hasn’t officially picked him as QB1 for the upcoming campaign, although Mac is listed ahead of Bailey Zappe as the starting quarterback on the organization’s unofficial depth chart.
