Jon will defend his UFC heavyweight championship versus Stipe, ex-2-time champion, at UFC 295 on November 11th in the Big Apple at Madison Square Garden, the fighting organization president Dana White shared at the UFC 290 ceremonial weigh-ins.
Jones (27-1, 1 NC) got back in the ring after 3-year hiatus, as he moved to the heavyweight division and secured the vacant title by beating Ciryl Gane via 1st round submission at UFC 285. The New York-born fighter has the most triumphs at title fights in history (15), and now he is also a heavyweight champ. He also had successfully defended his championship 11 times at the light heavyweight – evening the record with Demetrious Johnson.
Miotic last bout was in March 2021, when Francis Ngannou defeated him, and Stripe lost his title.
