Joshua defeats Helenius in round 7 at London’s O2 Arena

Anthony Joshua won by knockout vs. Robert Helenius in round 7 after he landed one clean strike with his right hand and Robert was down and out.

That was the Briton’s 1^st stoppage victory in 2 years and a half and secured Joshua a blockbuster bout against Deontay Wilder at the beginning of the next year.

Anthony’s record now stands at 26 victories – with 23 stoppages – and 3 losses.

The Finish Helenius – who accepted to face Joshua with only days to prepare after Dillian Whyte had an unsuccessful drug test – lost his 5^th bout in his career from 36 fights.

Joshua said after the victory that this is a fickle sport and that you must accept the reality and not get your head too high, but he’s happy that he did what he needed to do to triumph tonight.
