The German will have a clause that will let him take Germany national team job in the future

Former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp has been appointed as the global head of soccer at Red Bull, starting from January 1, 2025. In this newly created role, Klopp will not be involved in the day-to-day operations of Red Bull’s football clubs but will instead focus on advising teams on playing philosophy, transfer strategy, and coaching development.

Klopp also has a special clause in his deal that will release him if the opportunity to coach German’s national team comes around in the future.

Red Bull, known for its ownership of several football clubs—including RB Leipzig, Red Bull Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, and Red Bull Bragantino—recently expanded its involvement by taking a minority stake in Leeds United and becoming their front-of-shirt sponsor.

Klopp expressed his excitement about this new challenge, saying, “After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this.” He added that while his role has changed, his passion for football remains the same.

Oliver Mintzlaff, Red Bull’s CEO of corporate projects and investments, praised Klopp’s appointment, stating, “Jürgen Klopp is one of the greatest and most influential figures in world soccer, with extraordinary skills and charisma… he will be a game-changer for our involvement in international soccer.”
