The extension is for 4 years and almost 26 million dollars, with almost 18 million dollars guaranteed. At almost 6.5 million dollars per season in the new contract, Harrison will earn more than the previously highest-paid kickers, the Ravens’ Turcker and Philly’s Jake Elliott, who both average 6 million dollars per campaign with their deals.
The contract keeps Harrison in Kansas City through the 2028 campaign. The kicker is scheduled to make almost 4 million dollars in the final campaign of the 5-year deal he inked with Kansas City 5 years ago.
Harrison, who represented and negotiated the contract himself, announced on social media that he successfully secured the extension.
His career FG % is 89.1, which is 2nd all-time behind Tucker at 90.2. In the past campaign, Harrison was 33-of-35 on FGs for 94.3%. Butker finished 6-of-6 from 50 yards and beyond.
