Manager Andy Reid admitted Patrick won’t play at the end of the weekend vs. the Chargers in California. Andy added that other key players would get rest, too, but he didn’t share their names.
“I just want to make sure that all our key players are healthy when the postseason starts,” Reid claimed.
Blaine Gabbert will be QB1 for the Chiefs against the Chargers and will make his 1st start this campaign. The veteran quarterback hasn’t started a match since 2018 with the Tennessee Titans.
Gabbert hasn’t appeared on the field since replacing Patrick in the 2nd half of the victory against the Bears in Week 3.
