Roy Keane shared he would take the Red Devils captaincy off Bruno Fernandes after the Portuguese played awfully in his team’s 3-0 loss in the derby against Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
🗣️ “His whinging, his moaning. He’s throwing his arms up in the air constantly, it’s really not acceptable. In terms of captain material, he’s the opposite to what I would want in a captain.”

The Portugal international and Man. United were destroyed by a fantastic performance by the Sky Blues as Erling Haaland scored twice, and a goal from Phil Foden secured the triumph.
The United captain could not influence the match in a positive way and even received a yellow card for kicking out at Jeremy Doku.
Fernandes is constantly criticized for his role on the pitch as the team’s captain since the beginning of the campaign after the Portuguese midfielder became captain in the summer after the manager decided to strip Harry Maguire and gave it to Bruno.
Keane claimed: “Fernandes is not captain material. After how he played against City and what his body language was, I would take that off him.”
