After watching Stephen Curry finish with 7 turnovers and miss 10 of 14 three-point shots vs. an undermanned Denver Nuggets roster, Warrior’s manager Steve Kerr shared he needs to find some rest for Steph.
The Golden State superstar had 20 points and 7 assists, but Denver defeated them and ended their 7-match win streak with a 114-105 triumph despite being on the court without Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, and Christian Braun.
Steph was listed as questionable before the match because of a right lower back strain. Golden State boss claimed the team must consider “potentially” resting Steph in the upcoming match vs. the Bucks, the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
“Curry is tired,” the Warriors head coach shared after the defeat as Steph played 35 minutes vs. Denver. “He has been carrying us for the past 30 days. Curry is phenomenal. But now he is tired so we must get him some rest. It is visible to everyone that Steph doesn’t have his energy at the moment.”
Steph was averaging almost 27 points and almost 7 assists in 33.5 minutes this month before the match against Denver.
