The 36-year-old forward, who was recently named to his 15th All-Star team, joins an exclusive list that includes LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone, Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Dirk Nowitzki, and Wilt Chamberlain. Julius Erving also surpassed 30,000 points when combining his NBA and ABA totals.
A four-time NBA scoring champion, Durant continues to showcase his elite offensive skills in his 17th season. Averaging around 27 points per game while shooting an impressive 52% from the field, he remains one of the league’s most consistent and efficient scorers.
Durant’s scoring journey began with the Oklahoma City Thunder (formerly the Seattle SuperSonics), where he tallied 17,566 points over his first nine seasons. He then contributed 5,374 points with the Golden State Warriors, 3,744 with the Brooklyn Nets, and has so far recorded 3,324 points with the Suns.
Despite Durant’s 34-point performance on 12-of-18 shooting, the Suns fell 119-112 to the Grizzlies. However, his latest milestone further solidifies his legacy as one of the greatest scorers in NBA history.
