Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has become a star at Napoli, but Georgia national team coach Willy Sagnol warns that “giants like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are interested in him.”
The Georgian had an outstanding debut season in Italy, scoring 14 times and providing 17 assists in 43 games in Serie A and the Champions League.
So far this season, he has managed to score three goals and provide five assists in 15 games.
“Khvicha Kvaratskhelia plays in a top club like Napoli, but giants of the football world are also interested in him now, such as Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich,” Sagnol said at a press conference.
“Playing for these clubs is everyone’s dream. All players hope to one day wear a shirt like this and win important titles.” Kvaratskhelia’s contract with Napoli runs until June 2027, but he is said to be negotiating an extension that would give him a significant pay rise.
He was signed from Dinamo Batumi last summer for just €13.3m plus bonuses and is now thought to be worth at least €90m in the transfer market.
