Denver Broncos wide receiver KJ Hamler has undergone a surgery after suffering a partially torn pectoral muscle in a training session during offseason, resources say.
The predicted timeline for a recovery is four to six month, which is a real heartbreak for Hamler. He will have a chance to return to training camp though.
It’s yet another injury blow for Hamler, who has suffered a lot during the 2020 and 2021 campaigns, having been sidelined for the majority of the seasons.
In three seasons with the Broncos, the speedster has played in only 23 games, totaling 42 catches for 620 yards and three touchdowns, all of which have come in his rookie year.
The latest injury will prevent Hamler from establishing himself in Sean Peyton’s new offence in a campaign that may turn out to be crucial for his career before 2024, when he becomes free agent.
