Jurgen Klopp was left baffled by the somewhat quiet atmosphere at Anfield in Liverpool’s 5-1 thrashing of West Ham on Wednesday night.
The 55-year-old emphasized the importance of fan’s support, especially for the upcoming key clash against Arsenal on Saturday.
“I was not overly happy with the atmosphere behind me,” Klopp said. “I was like, “What do you want?”. We changed the team a lot and we dominated West Ham. If I had been in the crowd I would have been on my toes.”
“Was everyone down because we didn’t smash Manchester United? On Saturday (against Arsenal), we need Anfield to be on its toes from the first second. Without waiting for me to have an argument with the opposition coach or whatever.”
Klopp praised his team for an excellent performance and he will be hoping for the same in crunch title-fight match.
