The German manager inked a 4-year deal extension in 2022 that would have tied him to the team until the end of the 2025-26 campaign, but having taken charge of the Reds in October 2015, the ex-Borussia Dortmund boss shared his decision to resign was due to him no longer having the energy to continue with his job.
Jurgen shared with the media that he will not have any role in Liverpool’s search for a new manager.
“No, it is not my job?” Klopp admitted. “The last thing the club needs is advice from the old man leaving the club to tell them: ‘By the way, make sure you appoint that manager after me.’
“Without a doubt, I will not do that. You know, for most things, I have an opinion, and I don’t know if you will believe that for most, I still didn’t share everything, and that doesn’t bother me.
