The New York Knicks are contemplating giving Zach LaVine an offer to join them over the summer, reports say.
However, one stumbling block is the 28-year-old’s price tag, which according to the Athletics’s Ted Katz is too big for New York.
“Other All-Stars have trickled in and out of the rumor mill over the years, including this summer,” Katz wrote.
“New York made contact with the Chicago Bulls about their shooting guard, Zach LaVine, but the asking price for the two-time All-Star was ‘giant,’ as one league source told The Athletic, which is exactly why LaVine remains in Chicago. The Knicks and Bulls, according to league sources, never got close.”
LaVine has played 6 season for Chicago and he averaged 24.8 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.5 assists last season.
