Jared McCann, Jordan Eberle, Matty Beniers and Vince Dunn all scored for Seattle as they clinched their 44th victory (third in a row), a record for a second-year team in the NHL since the Original Six era. Goaltender Phillip Grubauer made 27 saves.
“It feels great,” Seattle coach Dave Hakstol said.
“Day One, that’s where you want to work toward and be part of. The group in the room there earned it, they earned it from Day One.”
Barret Hayton and Laurent Dauphin scored for Arizona, as they recorded their ninth successive loss.
Next up on the road for the Kraken is a match against Anaheim on Saturday night, whereas the Coyotes go against Chicago also on Saturday.
