NY Rangers avoided elimination with the victory against New Jersey.

Chris Kreider scored from power play and gave 2 assists for the New York Rangers to win against the New Jersey Devils 5-2 at Madison Square Garden in New York, NY, and everything will be decided in Game 7.

Mika Zibanejad and Vladimir Tarasenko each notched and assisted for the team from the Big Apple, who scored only 2 goals while being defeated in the previous 3 matches.

Barclay Goodrow and Braden Schneider netted the other goals, and Adam Fox had 2 assists. Igor Shesterkin made 34 saves.

Curtis Lazar and Dawson Mercer notched for the visiting team. Goalie Akira Schmid was subbed after allowing 5 goals from 29 shots.

The deciding Game 7 will be on Monday night in New Jersey. The winner will face Carolina Hurricanes in the 2nd round of the Eastern Conference playoffs.
