Jonathan Kuminga is ready to take the almost 8 million dollars qualifying offer unless the Warriors improve their current offers.
“There are a lot of positive things about the qualifying offer,” revealed his agent. “Kuminga wants to be in control where he wants to play, and because of that, this offer makes sense.”
Golden State has made 3 different offers to Jonathan, as the best one of them is a 3-year, over 75 million dollar contract with a franchise option in the final year. It guarantees the player over 48 million dollars in his 1st 2 campaigns.
Kuminga was also presented with a 2-year, 45 million dollar contract with an organization option on the 2nd year and a 3-year, 54 million dollar contract without options. Until now, the basketballer refused all of the offers that were made to him by the Golden State Warriors. Kuminga wants the franchise to turn the team option into a player option, and he will ink it.
However, Golden State didn’t present any offer with a player option to him. The Warriors are the only franchise that didn’t ink any free agents in the past few months.
The future of Jonathan Kuminga with the Golden State Warriors remains uncertain as the forward is reportedly at a stalemate with the team regarding his player option.https://t.co/zO3tGe7Y3b
