The Los Angeles Lakers wish LeBron James would not call it a career after the emotions from the elimination settled.
LeBron didn’t talk with the media the next day after the NBA superstar shared he needed time to reflect on his future in the league as Los Angeles was swept at the Western Conference finals.

LeBron worried the LA fans, but GM Rob Pelinka and manager Darvin Ham shared that they would try to convince him to continue.
“We all know that LeBron speaks for himself, and we’ll talk about with him about that very soon,” the general manager claimed. “James contributed to the basketball more than anyone that ever played. When you accomplish that, you earn a right to decide when to stop. … Obviously, all of the staff and the fans hope that we will see him on the court in the next campaign, but we will give him as much time as he needs to think about it and then we will have conversations about the future.”
