The French champions are still not sure about their spot in the knockout stage

PSG had to wait until the 8th minute of stoppage time to save a point in a 1-1 draw against Newcastle.

Newcastle opened the scoring in the 24th minute. Tino Livramento broke down the left wing and passed to Almiron. The winger shot from the edge of the penalty area as Donnarumma did not intervene in the best way and the ball fell to the feet of Isak, who could not miss to tap it in the empty net.

In the 56th minute, Kolo Muani put Dembele in a good position. The ball to the winger wasn’t the best though, and although Dembele got to the ball, he couldn’t get his shot on target.

In the 85th minute, PSG came close to equalizing. After a fine individual break, Mbappe tested Pope, who again managed to save, and in the added time, the Paris captain’s shot went inches wide of the right side post of the Newcastle goal.

In the 6th minute of added timePSG  players again had claims for a penalty. Marciniak didn’t call it, but after VAR’s intervention, PSG were awarded a penalty kick for a handball on Livramento. Mbappe took the ball to take the shot and  did not leave any chances to Pope for the final 1-1.
