Carter Verhaeghe and Kevin Stenlund proved to be the heroes with goals in the third period for Florida, who secured their fifth straight victory.
Sam Reinhart notched his 12th league goal of the season, along with an assists for fifth consecutive multi-point game.
Ryan Lomberg and Aleksander Barkov also scored for the Panthers, which defeated the Sharks for 10th consecutive time.
“I think everyone’s stepping up,” Verhaeghe said. “We have a lot of guys in and out of the lineup. Everyone’s playing well. … Every win is kind of a total team win. Everyone is contributing in a different way.”
Mike Hoffman scored his first goal for San Jose, before quick goals from Tomas Hertl and Luke Kunin gave them a 3-2 lead in the third. However, that wasn’t enough as the Sharks were unable to hold on to their advantage.
