LeBron James, the all-time leading scorer in the NBA, has signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, according to ESPN. The contract is valued at $104 million and spans the next two seasons.
The structure of the deal is a 1+1 year agreement, which includes a no trade clause. This clause ensures that the Lakers’ management cannot trade him, making James and Bradley Beal of the Phoenix Suns the only NBA players with such a provision.

The upcoming season will be LeBron’s 22nd in the NBA. Notably, this season presents a unique opportunity for LeBron as he will have the chance to play alongside his son, LeBron James Jr., commonly known as Bronny James. The 19-year-old was selected by the Lakers in the second round of the recent NBA draft held in New York. This father-son pairing is highly anticipated and adds a significant storyline to the Lakers’ season.
