After the first round of pit stops, which were triggered earlier than expected due to severe tyre graining, Leclerc was undercut by Norris. Despite losing track position, Ferrari made a bold call in front of their home fans, opting for a daring one-stop strategy while rivals McLaren, Red Bull, and Mercedes all committed to two stops.

The gamble paid off as Leclerc inherited the lead when Oscar Piastri and Norris pitted for a second time. Managing his tyres with remarkable skill, Leclerc held on to secure a memorable victory for Ferrari on home soil. Piastri and Norris completed the podium, with Norris finishing ahead of his teammate, while Max Verstappen, struggling to match the pace of the leaders, finished in sixth.
