Charles Leclerc held off the 1st position from McLaren’s Oscar Piastri to finally triumph in his home race and win the Monaco GP.
The triumph for the Ferrari pilot, born and raised here, ended disappointing results in the previous races in the past few seasons in Monaco to finally grab the victory.

Charles failed to finish even at the podium in the last 5 races at the Monaco GP and won for the 1st time in Formula 1 since the Austrian GP two years ago.
The Ferrari driver shared after the race: “I can’t explain how much this victory means to me … it was a very hard race. The fact starting 2 times on the pole and couldn’t make it makes it even better. It means everything to me. The Monaco Grand Prix made me dream of becoming a Formula 1 pilot.”
Everything started very dramatic when a collision between Sergio Perez and Haas drivers Kevin Magnussen and Nico Hulkenberg in the opening lap resulted in a red flag.
Charles nailed the restart and secured the 1st place that he kept until the end of the race.
Verstappen finished 6th – his worst since the 2022 Sao Paulo GP.
