Benjamin Sesko scored in the 6th minute to give a lead to the home side, but his goal was ruled out for offside. However, Sesko netted again at the beginning of the 2nd half after Benjamin Henrichs’ assist. However, two minutes later, Ebrima Colley scored for the Swiss team to tie the clash 1-1.
The draw did not last long as the Bulls needed only 3 minutes to take the lead again as Emil Forsberg scored in the 56th minute after Kevin Kampl’s assist.
Leipzig finished in 2nd place in Group G with 12 points after 6 matches, while Young Boys ended in 3rd place with 4 points after 6 games, and the Swiss team will play in the Europa League 1/16-finals.
