The Bulls allowed 2 goals in the 2nd half for the tie.

Leipzig and Bayern Munich finished 2-2 at Red Bull Arena as the home side had the perfect chance to beat the Bundesliga champions but fell short even with a 2-goal lead.

RB Leipzig started the game fantastically, as they had a 2-0 lead after the 1st half. Lois Openda scored the 1st goal in the 20th minute after Xaver Schlager’s assist. Only 6 minutes later, Castello Lukeba netted to double the lead of the Bulls after Openda’s assist.

However, Bayern Munich got back in the match in the 2nd half. Harry Kane converted a penalty in the 57th minute to reduce his side’s deficit to 1 goal. Leroy Sane tied the match with his goal in the 70th minute after Jamal Musiala’s assist.

Leipzig is in 5th place with 13 points after 6 matches, while Bayern Munich is in 3rd place with 14 points after 6 games.
