Leverkusen finish Bundesliga unbeaten all campaign

Bayer Leverkusen became the 1^st Bundesliga team to finish a league campaign undefeated as their dream of an ‘invincible treble’ remained possible.

Xabi Alonso’s team already triumphed with their 1^st Bundesliga but achieved a lot more with today’s 2-1 victory in front of their fans vs. Augsburg ensured they finished the league unbeaten.

Bayer campaign-long undefeated run is now at 51 matches in all tournaments – already breaking a 59-year-old UEFA record – and 2 more victories will secure a historical treble.
