Tampa Bay completed discussions with their candidates at the end of the week, and Liam was named a favorite. However, the deal is not official yet as final details are worked out with the University of Kentucky as he is still under contract as their OC and QBs coach.
Terms of the contract are unavailable, nor do arrangements need to be made with the school.
Tampa Bay wanted Coen as he has experience in Sean McVay’s system, serving as the LA Rams’ assistant WRs coach from 2018-2019, assistant QBs coach in 2020, and OC in 2022, with periods in Kentucky as OC and QBs coach in 2021 and in the past year.
Coen’s appointment in Buccaneers is crucial to the franchise potentially reinking QB Baker Mayfield as the 2 worked together in Rams in 2022.
