Damian Lillard is relentless in his insistence on becoming a part of the Miami Heat team as soon as possible. The guard, who is clearly unhappy with his stay with the Portland Trail Blazers, has been looking to join the Heat for several months, but to no avail.
Lillard requested a trade from the Blazers last month, insisting his preferred destination was Miami. However, the NBA quickly responded to Dame’s controversial demands and sent a letter to all teams in the league saying that if a player does not fully perform the services required by his contract in the event of a trade, he will face disciplinary action.

The saga did not stop there as the general manager of the franchise from Oregon – Joe Cronin, subsequently commented that the management plans to show great patience in their negotiations with Lillard. He still has at least three years left on his contract, with only the 2026/27 season offering him the option to leave.
