Manchester United cannot catch a break at the moment as the team has received a horror news that central-back Lisandro Martinez will undergo a second operation on his broken metatarsal, which may rule him out for the next 3 months.

The club announced on Friday that the Argentinian will be absent for undisclosed amount of time due to recurrence of the problem, which sidelined him at the end of last season.
Martinez returned for pre-season in order to get fit enough in time and did manage to start the opening games of the new Premier League season.
However, the 25-year-old had pains in the 3-1 loss to Arsenal and was forced off the pitch. Later it was revealed that Martinez used painkillers to carry through the games against Brighton and Bayern Munich as the fracture hasn’t healed properly.
“We did a proper diagnosis, in Argentina as well, but now it came out that there was a problem. That’s very sad, for him and the team, because he was not 100 per cent fit.” manager Erik Ten Hag said.
“I think it was a big difference the Licha Martinez in the last games and the Licha Martinez we have seen in the first season here.”
