The Merseyside team had to dig deep as the stubborn visitors eqailized twice

Liverpool were triumphant 3-2 against Nottingham Forrest with Mo Salah 70th minute strike giving the Reds the three points on Saturday.

The home team struck first early on in the second half with Diogo Jota after a rather tame and uneventful first half.

The visitors were quick to react as strike from Neco Williams leveled the scoreline in 51st minute.

Jota was at it again as he edged his team once again in front in the 55th minute.

Forrest showed real spirit and stubbornness as they equalized for a second consecutive time with former Liverpool player Morgan Gibbs-White.

It had to go down to Mohamed Salah’s brilliant left foot in the 70th minute, which sealed a difficult win for Merseyside, who are currently sitting 7th with 50 points, 6 off the designated 4th place of Newcastle, who have a game in hand.

Jurgen Klopp’s men chances of a Champions League look slim with a torrid run of 4-game winless streak, but the Reds, as always, have shown real character just like today and in the 2-2 draw against Arsenal and certainly will not go down without a fight.
