Danny Welbeck needed only 2 minutes to secure the Seagulls the lead at Anfield but De Zerbi’s side failed to keep the lead until the end of the halftime as Luis Diaz tied the result in the 27th minute.
Klopp’s team superstar, Mohamed Salah, secured the lead for his club for the 1st time in the game after the Egyptian forward scored in the 65th minute after Alexis Mac Allister’s assist.
Luis Diaz scored another goal in the 71st minute, but his goal was disallowed for an offside. Despite that, the Reds kept the single goal lead until the end and secured the 3 points.
Liverpool are in 1st place with 67 points after 29 matches – 3 more than the Gunners and 4 more than the Sky Blues before their match later today.
Brighton are in 9th place with 42 points after 29 games as the Seagulls have only 1 victory in their last 4 league matches.
7 – Liverpool have won seven Premier League games in which they were behind this season, now their outright most ever in a single campaign in the competition. Magnificent. pic.twitter.com/PnYvEhodWb
