Liverpool’s Alexander-Arnold not sure about his best position

Trent Alexander-Arnold shared with the media that he doesn’t know where he plays best after being used in the midfield of Liverpool this campaign.

Trent played at midfield during his academy period, but the world knows him about his breakthrough as a right-back with the Reds. But lately, both Jurgen Klopp and England’s Gareth Southgate used him in the midfield.

“Fans are seeing potentially I’m more effective at the midfield,” the player shared. “That’s maybe how I will play in the future. But who knows? It’s not up to me. I can only be on the pitch.

“But with the discussions I’ve had, particularly with the head coach of the national team, playing centrally in the middle of the pitch is something we want to experiment with in the future. If it’s successful, that’s how I will help my team and my country.”
