Lloris joined the London team in 2012 and has made a total of 447 appearances, keeping 151 clean sheets.
The 37-year-old has enjoyed huge international success with France, lifting the World Cup trophy in 2018, before announcing his retirement last January.
LAFC co-president and general manager John Thorrington said: “Hugo is arguably the most successful goalkeeper of his generation and a proven winner.”
“We are incredibly excited that Hugo has chosen LAFC for the next phase of his illustrious career.”
Lloris last started a competitive game in April, a 6-1 loss to Newcastle and with the introduction of new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, his exit was more or less inevitable.
