The Frenchman finally leaves London to head across the Atlantic

After months of speculations Hugo Lloris has finally declared that he is leaving Tottenham Hotspur to head to Los Angeles FC.

Lloris joined the London team in 2012 and has made a total of 447 appearances, keeping 151 clean sheets.

The 37-year-old has enjoyed huge international success with France, lifting the World Cup trophy in 2018, before announcing his retirement last January.

LAFC co-president and general manager John Thorrington said: “Hugo is arguably the most successful goalkeeper of his generation and a proven winner.”

“We are incredibly excited that Hugo has chosen LAFC for the next phase of his illustrious career.”

Lloris last started a competitive game in April, a 6-1 loss to Newcastle and with the introduction of new goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, his exit was more or less inevitable.
