David Rittich made 27 saves for his 1st shutout in nearly 3 years, Quinton Byfield notched 2 goals and gave an assist, and the Los Angeles Kings won against the Edmonton Oilers 4-0, giving Jim Hiller a triumph in his 1st match as a head coach in the league.
“That was a huge victory for us coming off the break and the change of the coaches,” admitted Byfield, who has 4 goals and 4 assists in his last 4 matches… “I believe we all played for each other and really enjoyed what we were doing.”

Hiller was appointed as interim coach for the rest of the campaign after Todd McLellan was dismissed at the beginning of February. Los Angeles had only 3 victories in their last 17 matches before the All-Star break.
